On December 17, Minister Bussemaker held a speech on human rights training in the course of the opening of the Worldwide Human Rights Schooling Convention (IHREC) in Middelburg, the Netherlands. Their focus is on the issues documented in the Common Declaration of Human Rights. It’s supposed to raise human rights consciousness in youngsters and educate them against discriminatory attitudes and behaviours, thus equipping them with abilities to confront them”. It’s obvious that yet another topic cannot be added to an already overloaded curriculum, as it could constitute a violation of human rights of sorts.

The 1978 Worldwide Congress on the Teaching of Human Rights and the 1993 Vienna conference referred to as upon UN member-states to introduce human rights education in any respect ranges of schooling. Elementary training shall be made generally accessible and higher schooling shall be equally accessible to all on the idea of advantage. We do that in some ways, and people study human rights by way of many channels and in many places.
